Connections

This is the beginning of my sort-of blog. It's not a blog because I want to organize it my way. I want to emphasize connections. I will make sure entries are organized from an index, but within the entries connections will be made freely.

Every entry will be a hyper-text; a kind of Choose Your Own Adventure, free association narrative.

I'm writing as a means of organizing my self, my ghost, outside of my bodily shell. Mamoru Oshii, writer-director of both the Ghost in the Shell films said the following in an interview with IGN A link to the interview can be found here.

When I made Ghost in the Shell 2 my conclusion changed. This time I thought [the unique part of a person] is your body, and it's not anything specific, like your arm or your leg, it's the body as an entire [entity], and more than that, it's really the relationships you have with other people. When I was making this film, I came to one conclusion: maybe the brain or head isn't that special.

This quote inspired me and I want to take it further. The unique part of a person is more than just body and relationships with other people. It's also relationships with information and ideas. These thoughts you read are an extension of me as surely as my arm is. So go ahead, choose your own adventure, enjoy my connections, and form your own.
