Internet Explorer

I don't use internet explorer. I don't like it. I figure that if you do use it you probably
A: Live in a hole and somehow don't know about firefox or chrome. Or
B: You are afraid of trying to ascend a very shallow learning curve.

Either option makes me sad.

But recently I was browsing with internet explorer (I can't recall what possessed me to do such a thing) and I discovered that my webpage looks like shit, despite the fact that I had already fixed the issues with explorer. New problems seemed to have spawned while I wasn't paying attention. I've tried to fix it again and I think I've succeeded. It looks ok on my computer, but if you have a different size monitor than me I have no idea what you are seeing. If something looks wrong, please feel free to email me and bring it to my attention.

Favicon

That slanted blue-on-tan "SA" you should be seeing up next to the site URL? That's a facivon. Google has the stylized "g". Almost every respectable website has one of these. Now mine does too and it's all thanks to this website which makes it super easy to create your own favicon.

Google search bar

I now have a google search bar on the left side of my page (in the blue division). Searching using this search bar will ONLY search within my site, smartamusement. So if you can't find one of my pages on the tag cloud, you might want to try the search bar. Note, it will not search the greater web. If you want to search beyond my pages you'll need to search in the search bar in the upper right corner of most browsers.

Recent Changes

This is one of my favorite additions. At the top of my home page, there will now be a list of links to pages that were modified recently, but which do not show up as blog entries proper and therefore don't show up on the front page. These previously invisible changes will now be revealed: what race write ups I've done recently, changes to my training log, bits of humor I've stumbled upon, or recent articles of interest. It will all show up there now.
