I might be going on hiatus from keeping this training log. Sorry.
Saturday (11-14) 44 min. - Ran on the greenway, decently fast.
Friday (11-13) 0 min. - No motivation to run. Extremely pissed off at the DMV and other bureaucrats.
Thursday (11-12) 60 min. - warm up, 800 m, 4 x 1200 m, cool down. At U of R with GVH.
Wednesday (11-11) 0 min. - Writing class
Tuesday (11-10) 90 min. - Workout at U of R with GVH. Good long warm up (23 min) and cooldown (about equally long). I also did some hip stretches and strengtheners before hand. For the workout 12 x 400 m at 70 or under with 200m jog recovery. Then we did a surge drill 1,2,3 min on with half time jog recovery. A good day.
Monday (11-9) 0 min. - Writing class. Did some hip strength and stretches.
Sunday (11-8-2009) 55 min. - Ran on the greenway. Took a right turn on the road to ascend the hill. I felt slow and heavy, but I threw in a little surge as best I could.
Saturday (11-7) 104 min. - long run on the greenway. I don't think I went very fast. I still moved pretty well and the time passed quickly.
Friday (11-6) 61 min. - Ran midday on the canal path. I crossed the river at the bridge before the pavement ends. That was a really good choice. The other side goes on much further with a nice crushed stone path. I also did some hip strength and hip stretches.
Thursday (11-5) 70 min. - warm up and hip strengtheners off the curb. Then 14 x 400 at 70 second pace or less. Fontana and I ran these in the 5th lane of the U of R track. We ran very consistently. I felt quite good. Cool down.
Wednesday (11-4) 0 min. - Writing class.
Tuesday (11-3) 84 min. - GVH practice at U of R. warm up. 2 x 2400 at 5:08 mile pace. Then 3 x 1,2,3 min at threshold with half time recovery. A very hard day, but I felt good, smooth.
Monday (11-2) 0 min. - Writing class.
Sunday (11-1-2009) 71 min. - Four mile race in the Seneca Park zoo. Sizable warm up and cool down.
Saturday (10-31) 38 min. - Went to a little 5k race. Picked up 2nd with a not so good 15:35.
Friday (10-30) 54 min. - An immensely long and fatiguing 54 min down the greenway. This run felt like it would never end.
Thursday (10-29) 127 min. - Biked to work in the am. In the evening biked 28 min to practice then ran 57 min with Nick end. 2 x 18 min at tempo. We moved very fast. I felt tired and also the monster leapt on my back twice. I think I may need more iron.
Wednesday (10-28) 50 min. - bike ride home from work with an add on.
Tuesday (10-27) 64 min. - Workout at Cobbs Hill with GVh. Warm up. 2000 m at tempo pace. 400 at mile pace, 800 at 5k, 1600 at threshhold. 2000 m at tempo. All was run on the grass loop.
Monday (10-26) 74 min. - Long run on the greenway.
Sunday (10-25-2009) 55 min. - Mayor's cup.
Saturday (10-24) 20 min. - Painful jog at Franklin park. As soon as I started moving my bowels tried to release. Worthless.
Friday (10-23) 0 min. - I meant to do something. I ran a ton of errands after work and felt too fatigued/depressed to go to the gym. I had no desire to run outside as the sky was spitting cold rain. So I went home intent on doing a good yoga workout. Turns out my xbox is broken. Fuck! You know. Just fuck. Yes, I could have done yoga without following along to the video, but screw it.
Thursday (10-22) 30 min. - Ran 30 min, mostly on a highschool track in chilling rain. I threw in a couple pickups, but nothing special.
Wednesday (10-21) 41 min. - Ran on canal path. Felt like dog shit. Nothing wrong with my body. Just, you know, generally dog shit.
Tuesday (10-20) 0 min. - Open mic night.
Monday (10-19) 0 min. - Could not motivate myself to run. Felt miserable.
Sunday (10-18-2009) 77 min. - Ingraham.
Saturday (10-17) 66 min. - Alumni Race.
Friday (10-16) 55 min. - Ran at Williams up stone hill.
Thursday (10-15) 120 min. - biked to work and back home with a little detour to GV Park. Ran on greenway 36 min. Did some yoga hip stretches afterward.
No idea what I did between these dates.
Sunday (10-4-2009) 70 min. - Ran a Fleet Feet trail race with mom. I ran 9 miles. She ran 4.5. It was actually quite fun and an excellent hill workout for me. The hip and foot still hurt, but are strangely feeling better. Mom and I went to see injured raptors in the Mendon nature center after the race. They were quite cool. Eagles are freakin huge close up!
Saturday (10-3) 80 min. - Drove a little too far for not quite enough money. Took second place in a 5k to Kyle Heath. It was a beautiful day though and I got a free spaghetti lunch and I hung out with some GVHers. Mom is visiting this weekend.
Friday (10-2) 0 min. - Another day off. I hope it's good for the foot and hip. Both are still hurting a lot. It's affecting me even when I'm just walking.
Thursday (10-1) 71 min. - Ran with Pualing and Fontana at Genesee Valley park. After the warm up we did 2 x 14 min tempo with two min recovery. Then 6 x 100 sprints. My left hip hurt quite badly as did my right foot. I stretched the hip out very well and it seemed to feel a bit better. I rolled a tennis ball under my foot. It continued to hurt. I wonder if I bruised it somehow without noticing.
