Writing

I have been writing all my life. In grade school I competed in Power of the Pen competitions. I continued writing off and on, taking some classes on creative writing as an undergrad and getting a lot of practice writing about running.

When I moved to Rochester, I began taking classes taught by Nancy Kress and others at Writers and Books. With the help of the instructors and peer reviewers I developed many short stories, eventually publishing my first piece in Ghostlight Magazine. The issue containing my story is available for purchase here.

I subsequently published a short story in Full of Crow magazine. That story can be read here. I also published a short story on the Hazard Cat blog.

My largest publicly-available story is a fan fiction set in the universe of Final Fantasy III (FFVI in Japan). It explores what happens after the final boss is slain; how the heroes move on in a world that no longer needs them. If you have played FFIII, I would be honored if you would take the time to read my story. I guarantee that you will enjoy it and find it well written. The beginning of the story can be found here.
